LANCASTER TWO-BAND PERCUSSION CARBINE & BAYONET: .577” Cal; 31 3/4” barrel with f. cond. oval bore, caked with oxidation scale; streaky brown patina to barrel, grey patina & mottled staining to lock, other small parts; lock marked CHARLES LANCASTER LONDON; sword bar marked 1347; London commercial proofs to barrel; strong lock spring & sears, std. sights; one sling swivel to underside stock, missing front & ram rod; incorrect barrel bands; woodwork in p. cond., large slithers of wood missing along barrel & ram rod channels; both side of butt marked with WGM in diamond mark; steel butt plate with tang marked VF (Victorian Forces) broad arrow 1347; comes with vg. cond correct sword bayonet & scabbard; overall in p. cond. #1347 N/L Worthy of restoration.
