: 36 cal; 6 shot cylinder; 7 1/4" (184mm) octagonal barrel; f. bore, rifling defined but patch of significant pitting after breech, possibly a slightly bulged; silver steel finish to majority of metalwork with mottled plum patina overall, some patches of staining; dull mellow patina to square back trigger guard & straps; some vice marks to cylinder; top of barrel flat marked COLT over BREVETTE, primitive farmyard scene marked to cylinder complete with horse & rider, dog pursuing a goose, crops & fence background; Liege proof to cylinder; mechanically g., strong main spring & sears, indexing correctly; smooth walnut grips present well, some minor handling marks, both retaining much of their original varnish finish; overall in f. wo & g. cond. #1163 Pre 1900 L/R
